Tapatio - 100% agave tequila

Founded in 1937 by Don Felipe Camarena, Tapatio is the product of La Altena Distillery.

Don Felipe descends from a long line of Tequilero's, starting in the early 1800's. After the Camarena family distillery was destroyed during the Mexican Revolution, Don Felipe decided to carry his family legacy by creating La Altena Distillery. 

Located in the mountainous Arandas, a town that Don Felipe's family founded in 1761, Tapatio prides itself on using traditional production styles, implementing the Tahona method and using copper alembic stills.

Today, the third generation of Camarena's heads the family-owned business. Doubling as CEO and Master Distiller,  Jenny Camarena is ensuring the time-honoured traditions of their family shines through in their 100% agave Tequila.
