Founded in 1981 by Raymond Davidson, Glencairn Crystal Studio's focus is to design, create and provide crystal decanters and glassware for the spirits market. 

Currently managed by Raymond's two sons,
Glencairn Crystal has worked hard to position themselves as the global leader in the design and creation of innovative, premium, bespoke crystal glasses and containers.

The GLencairn Glass
 

After noticing other spirits had their own dedicated glassware, Ray Davidson designed the Glencairn Glass to give Whisky a definitive glass to call it's own . Since it's launch the glass has won numerous awards including the Queens Award for Innovation.

The Glencairn Glass has been designed to maximise sensory appreciation of Whisky, with the tapering mouth allowing for ease of drinking while capturing the important aromas.

The wide bowl allows for full appreciation of the whisky's colour, and also provides room for water to be added, with the sturdy base creating the robustness desired by busy bars and distilleries around the world.
